Terms of Service
Last updated: [2026/09/03]
1.Who we are
Quiet Review is operated as a sole proprietor registered in South Africa.
- Email: support@quietreview.com
- Website: https://quietreview.com
In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Quiet Review. “You” refers to the person or business using the Service.
2.Agreement to these Terms
By creating an account or using Quiet Review (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you’re agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you’re authorised to bind that business. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
3.What the Service does
Quiet Review gives your business a review link. When a customer opens it, they rate their experience from one to five stars.
- Customers rating 4 or 5 stars are directed to your Google review page.
- Customers rating 1 to 3 stars are offered a private feedback form. That feedback is stored in your dashboard and is not sent to Google.
You can configure this routing, including choosing to send lower ratings to Google as well. A dashboard shows your review activity and private feedback.
4.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts. The Service is intended for use by businesses.
5.Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at support@quietreview.com immediately if you think someone else has accessed it.
One account is for one business. If you operate multiple locations, each needs its own account and subscription.
6.Your responsibilities
This section matters more than its length suggests. Read it.
6.1 Authority over the Google listing
You confirm you own, or are authorised to represent, the Google Business Profile you connect to the Service. Connecting a listing you don’t control is a serious breach of these Terms and we may terminate your account without notice.
6.2 Compliance with Google’s policies
Google sets its own rules about how businesses may solicit and handle reviews, and those rules change without notice to us. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with Google’s policies. We don’t control Google, we can’t guarantee your configuration complies, and we’re not responsible for any action Google takes against your listing, your reviews, or your business.
6.3 Compliance with the law
Laws about soliciting customer reviews and testimonials differ between countries, and some regulators treat the selective filtering of negative feedback as a deceptive or unfair practice. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that your use of the Service is lawful where you operate.
Nothing in our website, documentation, marketing or settings is legal advice.
6.4 Honest use
You agree not to:
- Fabricate, incentivise or manipulate ratings so they misrepresent genuine customer sentiment
- Submit ratings for your own business, or ask staff or others to do so
- Use the Service to mislead customers about what happens to their feedback
7.Acceptable use
You also agree not to:
- Interfere with the Service, probe its security, or work around rate limits
- Try to access other accounts’ data
- Share, resell or sublicense your account access
- Scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service
- Upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content
- Use contact details collected through the Service to send unsolicited marketing, in breach of POPIA or other applicable law
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.
8.Trial, subscription and payment
Trial. New accounts get a 3-day free trial. No payment details are required to start it, and your review link works immediately.
Price. R450 per month, per business. This is an introductory rate. We may increase it in future, and we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before any increase applies to you.
Payment. Payments are processed by Paystack. Their terms apply to the transaction itself. We don’t store your card details.
If you don’t add a payment method. When the trial ends without a card on file, your account enters a 5-day grace period. Your review link stays active during it. If no payment method is added by the end of that period, the review link stops working until one is.
If a payment fails. The same 5-day grace period applies. We’ll email you immediately and show a notice in your dashboard. Your review link stays active during the grace period.
Renewal. The subscription is monthly and renews automatically until you cancel. There’s no fixed term and no minimum period.
9.Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — your review link keeps working until then, and you won’t be charged again.
Your 5-day cooling-off right. You may cancel within 5 business days of first subscribing and receive a full refund, no reason needed. This applies whether we approached you directly or you signed up through our website. Where we approached you directly, this right is also protected by section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act.
To exercise it, email support@quietreview.com within 5 business days. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 15 business days.
Outside that window, payments already made aren’t refundable, though you can cancel at any time to stop future charges.
10.Your data and your customers' data
Your account data — name, email, business details — is ours to process in order to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy.
Your customers’ feedback belongs to you. We store and process it so we can show it to you in your dashboard. We don’t sell it, and we don’t share it with Google or anyone else.
Deleting your account removes your account and all associated data — business details, ratings, private feedback, analytics — within 30 days. This can’t be undone. Records we’re legally required to keep for tax or accounting purposes are retained as long as the law requires.
11.Availability
We aim to keep the Service running continuously but can’t guarantee it. We may change or remove features, and we’ll give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
The Service depends on third parties including Google, Paystack, and our hosting providers. We’re not responsible for their outages.
12.Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable, or immediately in cases of serious breach such as connecting a Google listing you don’t control.
13.Warranties and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the Service. We’re not liable for any action taken by Google or any other third-party platform in relation to your business, listing or reviews. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
14.Indemnity
[This clause has not yet been drafted.]
15.Complaints and disputes
If something’s wrong, email support@quietreview.com first — most things are resolved quickly that way.
If we can’t resolve it, you may refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission or an accredited consumer ombud.
16.Governing law
These Terms are governed by South African law. The courts of [JURISDICTION] have jurisdiction.
17.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For significant changes we’ll give reasonable notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
18.General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a right doesn’t mean we’ve waived it. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
